Will my insurance cover my visit with a Registered Dietitian?

Most health insurance plans will cover visits with a registered dietitian with little to no copay. Individual plans vary so please always check your specific benefits.

I am currently in the process of becoming a an in-network provider with insurance companies. While I am not currently taking insurance, I can provide a SuperBill (invoice with insurance codes) after each session in order to submit to insurance for possible reimbursement of sessions.

If interested in reimbursement, ask your insurance provider if nutrition counseling is a covered benefit within your plan (CPT codes 97802 and 97803). Coverage may also depend on the ICD-10 diagnosis code.
